1. Go to
2. In the black menu bar at the top of the page, click on "DNA" and select Your DNA Results Summary from the dropdown
3. Click on "Settings" in the right corner of the brown header bar
4. On the settings page, scroll down to the "Sharing preferences" section and click the "change" link to expand the section
5. Click "Add a person"
6. enter the email address of the person you wish to share your results with (you can use an Ancestry username, but email addresses tend to work better and get to where they are meant to go more quickly)
7. Depending on the reason why you are sharing these results, you can select "Viewer," which allows them to look at your matches but not add notes or tags, send messages, or attach the DNA results to a person in a tree; "Collaborator" which allows them to add notes and tags but not attach to a tree or send messages; or "Manager" which allows them to attach the results to a person in a tree and send and receive messages on your behalf. In most instances, Viewer or Collaborator are sufficient.
8. Click "send invitation." The requester will receive an email invite to view your results in the capacity you allow.
9. If you want to revoke or modify this setting at any time, you can do so by accessing your DNA settings in the same manner listed above.
